Marketing Assistant

As a Marketing Assistant you will assist the Marketing Director with all aspects of the marketing mix across all the specialist niches, with key tasks including:

A: Supporting and liaising with the Marketing Director
B: Liaising with division heads and account executives around their marketing needs
C: Research
D: Database management
E: Event management: internal staff events, corporate hospitality, promotional events
F. Writing: translating "insurance speak" into relevant and useful advice for lay readers.
Includes press releases, newsletter articles, datasheets, brochure copy, introductory
marketing letters, direct mail letters
G: Implementation of direct mail campaigns
H: Website maintenance/updates
I: In-house PR activity

This role will be ideal for you if you are well organised, meticulous, enthusiastic and self-motivated. You're a resourceful lateral thinker, reliable - and a great juggler! You have some experience of writing promotional copy (perhaps even a little journalism), and your excellent communication skills shine through, especially in written form. You have undertaken some training in marketing and have an awareness of brand issues. You are aware of issues around direct mail such as Data Protection and postal services, and have some experience of event management. Ideally you'll have a good grasp of the MS Office suite of applications. You enjoy working with people and are happy when working individually or as part of a team.
