Tuition fees going up! How can you plan around it?
From 2012 universities in England can charge their students up to £9,000 tuition fees a year. With the rise in fees, you’ll need to plan carefully for your child's education, not only for when they go to university but also during their primary and secondary school years.
Additional things you’ll need to take into account, on top of any tuition fee expense:
The number of years your children will spend at primary and secondary school are easier to calculate than their university years. You’ll need to consider that although your child might opt for a 3 year course, they also might decide to become a doctor or a lawyer! This means an extra 2-4 years of studying and fees!!
Our in-house financial management expert Henry Metcalf can help you plan your finances now so that you achieve the required sums by the time your fledglings' schooling beckons.
